ISOLCELL has developed a new ethylene purifier, increasing its performance by 30% and drastically reducing energy consumption. Deoxyl Gold is equipped with a revolutionary heat recovery system which minimizes the temperature difference between the air entering and leaving the purifier. The converter eliminates ethylene through a forced air circulation system on a catalytic bed maintained at a temperature of approx. 250°C. The process that takes place according to the reaction C2H4 + 3 O2 > 2 CO2 + 2 H2O is characterized by a very high degree of efficiency of the catalyst specifically designed for this use.
The superior quality of the catalyst used is demonstrated by the fact that the yield remains unchanged over time even in machinery with over 25 years of operation. Isolcell’s DEOXYLs have been on the market for over 50 years and, thanks to the high quality of the components used, they are known for being long-lasting and requiring no maintenance.
The careful design of the catalytic chamber together with the innovative heat recovery system guarantees that the heat introduced into the cell by the Deoxyl Gold is irrelevant; they also allow, in the case of machinery connected to multiple cells, the periodic shutdown of the same on the disabled cells, reducing energy consumption by up to 70%. This innovative ethylene converter has implemented the fast-heating function, through which the times to reach the operating temperature are drastically reduced and consequently also consumption; this function also allows the management of the machinery based on the real-time analysis of the ethylene in the conservation cell and to optimize its operating times. The optimization of the control of the catalysis temperature has brought about a further improvement in the performance of the new Deoxyl Gold which appears to be the most modern and highperformance ethylene catalytic converter currently on the market.
A further innovation of the GOLD model compared to other catalytic purifiers commonly present on the market concerns the presence of an inverter which allows to guarantee both performance, maintaining the nominal flow rate even in the presence of different back pressures, and flexibility of use, having the possibility to modify the flow rate as the number of connected cells or the quantity of stored product varies, in order to increase effectiveness or reduce consumption.
The Mini series analyzers are ideal for medium/small systems and are mounted in a compact and robust cabinet that can be placed on the floor, on a desk or on the wall.
